We started on 17th October 24 with 11 participants registering for this Event, When I registered for this event, I was doubtful, without practice in completing this Event, Thanks to Shettappa Pirangi and Shivanand Dandavatimath for instilling confidence, advising some solo practice rides, which gave me confidence in completing this event.
We started this event with Flag off by Dr. Nagaraj Tanksali Sir, Kaustub Saunshikar, RR's Prasanna Joshi, Shivanand Dandavatimath and other fellow HBC'ns, Thanks to all present at Flag off , giving confidence to all riders.
When we started it was raining continously till Davangere, Some times advantage and disadvantage, we enjoyed every bit of this moment, continued ride with lot of josh to finish it strongly, we were welcomed by MRM Rao Sir at HAVERI, wishing us, Thanks to MRM Rao Sir.
Journey to complete the event continued with a great company of fellow riders.
We reached 1st CP on Time, but many of riders cycles experienced flat tires, Thanks to all riders for helping each others, Special Thanks to Shettappa Pirangi Sir for his unwavering support to all riders.
Due to some un aviadable incindenc, beyond no ones control, we were stayed together to start from CP1 ( Guruprasad Hotel, Chitradurg), we Spent Good Time at this CP, By this time our co rider from Hyderabad Mr. Girish Annem was cruising ahead.
We, all HBC riders, started together from CP1 to CP2, Karajeevan halli toll, reached mid night, stayed together till Tumakur, in between two groups separated, we ( me, Thimmesh, Subhas, Joseph sir, had road side power nap for 15 Mins, Joseph Sir guarding us).
Then we started to CP3, Kings Biryani near Yedeyur, thinking to have Good rest , which never happened, after fresh up we started to CP4, CHAMUNDI HILLS, Thanks to Shivanand Dandavatimath for taking care of our bicycles at CP3.
We started to CHAMUNDI together, then separated in groups, Thimmesh, Subhash and me were riding together, pushing each others to Keep up the pace, we were feeling sleepy, had some power naps road side, we reached Mysore at 2.10 pm with flat tire, took bit of our times, we reached CP4 at 4.30 pm, had some good time at Hills.
Our other riders reached while we started down hill, together we all had some stuff at base to Return back to CP5,CP6, Together we started from Mysore, by this times it started drizzaling, continued with same spirit.
Our Riders Sandeep Tiwari ride 600 kms in single gear ( low gear, mechanical issue), Subhash in high gear, hats off to there determination , commitment.
We were all Sleepy, had some power nap road Side,
While returning from Mysore, Near Nagamangal, we experienced heavy rains, Sleepy , pushing ourselves , reached Nelamangal, there Shettappa Pirangi, Sir freind waiting for all , with food and hydration, almost 1am , waiting alone to help riders, I remember him as Ajay, Big shout out to him, he will be Remembered forever.
Our Dr .Amit Hosur was riding fully drenched, soaked in rains, without rain jacket. High regards to Joseph sir, his commitment, energy, stamina, which is inspiring, at one point we experienced water logging of above hub level, at this point, Shettappa sir was far behind, came alone to CP6 ( our sincere apologies), he took everyone with him, but here we missed to reciprocate it.
Thanks to Thimmesh, Subhash in riding together with Joseph sir to reach CP6.
We had 2.5 hrs Good sleep, then started towards CP7 Karajeevan halli toll, kept pace , as usual, Had lunch, proceeded towards with covering distance of 25 to 30 kms, small breaks, maintaining pace, had some power naps,at Davangere, ( experienced flat tire), Ranebennur ( power nap at BPCL bunk), started towards Hubli to complete the event.
Thanks to all riders, Special Thanks to Shettappa sir for his unwavering support, RR's Prasanna, Shivanand sir, for there patience, pushing all riders at critical points, making every rider to complete this event. Your guidance with all plan, ready reconner, you provided of great help.
Once again hats off to Joseph sir for his commitment, determination, you are an Inspiration Sir,
Take away points, expect the unexpected, have confidence, enjoy every Challenge, Keep yourself pushing hard.
